My Mr. Mom

Carter is turning into Mr. Mom, in regards to his stuffed animals and lovies of course! I have noticed Carter becoming more and more involved in taking care of his little friends. It started when I was changing his diaper one day and he demanded that 'woof, woof' (his blue and white stuffed dog) have his diaper changed too. Carter pulled at his own diaper and said 'woof, woof' mama. I thought it was as cute as a button so I complied and put a diaper on the stuffed dog. I asked him to show me 'woof, woofs' diaper and he happily complied.....
His stuffed animals and lovies all have to sit and play play dough, go down the slide, and in the ball pit, and I dare not admit that his favorite lovie 'Bluey' (blanket square with silky on back) has a permanent place at the dinner table I mean how inhumane to not allow him a bite or two!
Those naughty stuffed animals even need a good dose of discipline every now and again. It is quite amusing what you learn about yourself when your child mimics you....when I got out of the shower the other day I witnessed Carter disciplining his beloved 'Bluey' he was holding the head of the blankie and was pointing his finger saying "no, no, bluey, no"! Then he sat him on the bed and walked away....it kind of tugged at my heart strings. But I also see the love an affection he shows them when playing with them, and I know that is also him mimicking the love we show him :) He is constantly sharing with them, and he sets all his favorites at the table and passes out a snack or play dough for them to play with. He walks around to each of his friends and squishes their play dough so not a one feels left out. It is quite endearing if I do say so myself. It also makes me feel like a sibling may be perfect for him.....................:)
